This strain carries a conditional mutant Kras (KrasLSL-G12D/WT) and a constitutive deletion of Trp53 (p53KO/KO). G12D mutant Kras was activated upon injecting adeno-cre directly to the pancreas at 6 weeks of age, which resulted in a pancreatic tumor 8 weeks later. This result is similar to reports from similar models, including a Pdx1-Cre; KrasLSL-G12D/WT; p53KO/KO model (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24305049) and a iKras; p53loxp/loxp model (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22541435).
